What do Clients Say?

I’ve had the pleasure of having Carla help me find my first home. She was nothing but patient throughout this entire process especially when I decided to do a new build. She was with me every step of the new build process and ensured I understood what was happening, what I needed to do, helped provide resources, etc…she was just as invested in my home as I was and for me that was very reassuring. Her knowledge about new build process was instrumental. I’m lucky to have had Carla by my side throughout this journey and to call her a friend. I cannot recommend Curated Homes Nashville enough if you’re looking to buy or sell your home. Genuine, caring & knowledgeable.

We are not traditional buyers. We did not plan to move at all last summer. We love our neighborhood, Sylvan Park. We committed to staying in our small home as long as we stayed in our location. We went from no kids to two in that house and even bursting at the seams, we committed to staying until a listing came up last summer. In the insane market of 2022, my husband sent me a listing in our neighborhood as we often exchanged houses and dreamed big. Sylvan Park like the rest of Nashville saw high prices. We thought our only option to stay would be to build on our lot… until this listing! This home was twice as big as our current place with a lot twice as big and a beautiful studio that included a kitchenette, full bath, and home office! The next month was a blur- - Saturday- we text Alissa about a showing - Sunday: we see our future home, Alissa and Carla connect us with a mortgage company, our house is listed as a pocket listing for builders - Monday: we receive multiple offers and go under contract for our current house - Tuesday: we go under contract for our dream house - Two weeks later: we close on our house with a cash offer - One week later: we close on our new house and move in Alissa and Carla were responsive, proactive, kind, and thoughtful throughout the process. It is wild to go from not planning a move to completing a move in under a month with a six month old and three year old. It took sophistication, savvy, and smarts on the part of Curated Homes. We are extremely grateful for the expertise as they guided us through the process. We never expected to move two blocks over and couldn’t be happier! We highly recommend Curated Homes to others!

Carla and Alissa are amazing! We can’t say enough wonderful things about their help finding us our new home here in Nashville. The past year navigating this wild real estate market would have been overwhelming without their expertise and professionalism. They helped us transition our family back to my hometown and we are completely grateful for their guidance. Carla and Alissa are the dynamic duo you want on your team!

About Carla

I believe there is no better place to live than Middle Tennessee. While Nashville is becoming a big city, I see its humble roots and still feel like I live in a small town; I go to Trader Joe’s and run into at least three people I know every time.

I earned my real estate education and licensing seven years ago when my husband and I began investing in area property, and we wanted to make sure we were making the best decisions. It has been such a pleasure to help clients find homes they love or great investment properties, or sell a home for a profit that helps build wealth for clients and their future generations.

I have a Bachelor’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Public Health. Prior to real estate, I was a social worker and have found so many similarities in the two fields. I feel like being a realtor is social work for houses, because I get to help match clients to houses and to the services they need to make their home buying and selling experiences a smooth and pleasant process.

My husband and I enjoy raising three active boys, two cats, and a few chickens in the Forest Hills neighborhood. We are within three miles of all the nature, hiking, and conveniences we could ever need or want! When I’m not driving my boys around to activities and sporting events, I love to read, travel, and host parties. My husband and I have also been working on our house for the past eight years! What can I say? I love a fixer upper.

In the future, I hope to be more involved with public and community health and its relationship to real estate and the community we live in—green housing, air quality initiatives, and improving greenways. I help host the Big Green Fair at Percy Priest Elementary School and participate in the neighborhood Weed Wrangle to tackle all the invasive species along the greenway. Currently, I am working on a the Pathway Party to raise funds for a greenway that will eventually connect Radnor Lake Park to Warner Parks.
