I came into the process completely new with no prior experience as a first-time homebuyer. Melanie had been referred to me by a friend and right from the get-go, she explained how things could go. I was in a tight position with my lease up at the end of the month and looking for a place. It won't be too far off to say the process can be overwhelming without someone like Melanie to help one out. The first home we looked at, Melanie immediately told me, "We can do better." I wasn't sure as the market in the Seattle Eastside area is quite competitive. As things went along, I was a bit jaded in getting outbid on a couple of prospective homes I had a strong interest in. Melanie still had an excellent sense of how things could go and encouraged me not to lose heart. The very next day, Melanie sent me details on a home that had just gone to market. It wasn't even on my radar based on the criteria I had in mind. She encouraged me to just take a look. The moment I walked in, I felt right at home. We immediately made an offer. In less than three weeks, I had the keys in my hand. I feel emotional just writing this. I finally had my first home. I can't express how helpful Melanie was in guiding me through this process and what it means to me. There is a lot more to the process than I am detailing here, from finding an appropriate lender, to getting all the financial documents, to inspections, etc. I am truly, truly grateful to have had Melanie on my team and recommend her highly and without reservation.

Melanie represented me in the sale of my shared waterfront home and the purchase of my condo on Alki. I needed the proceeds from the sale to purchase the new property. I found the new property prior to having my home under contract and the seller was unwilling to take a contingent offer. She managed to keep things in play until my home was under contract and we were able to make it all work out. I moved into my new place just days after my old place closed. Without a contingent offer!! Melanie handled the transactions with finesse and just the right amount of elbow grease to make it all work. I would definitely recommend for any real estate transaction!
