We worked with Susie during our relocation from Sweden to Wellesley and we could not have asked for a better person to help us find a house and get situated. We have moved multiple times over the past 17 years and Susie is the best agent we ever worked with as she was very thorough in preparing us for what we would look at when we came over to house hunt. I really appreciated how responsive she was as we were overseas and it's hard to get the context looking online. Susie made herself available and answered all of our questions. Once we arrived to look at houses she was amazing and really understood how to balance the day between looking at houses and the area and making sure we saw fun elements of the town etc. It certainly made the day more enjoyable and less stressful! We interviewed a half dozen real estate agents when we were considering selling our house last winter just prior to the outbreak of the pandemic. Ultimately we chose Susie Gear of Rutledge Properties. Ultimately we chose Susie because she is a “down to earth realist” who performed a thorough market analysis for us and offered a well–grounded pricing recommendation that assured we would obtain bids on our property and left some room for multiple buyers to bid up the price. She also provided us extensive guidance relative to “Staging” our home which included both some interior painting to update the look of the house, the removal of some furniture and adding furniture with a more updated look. In the end, the strategy worked well as we accepted an over-asking offer on the first day that the property was shown! Although there are a few bumps between signing in the closing due to the Covid crisis, Susie worked closely with us to get through those challenges and let us to a very successful closing. As a first time homeowner and relatively new to the Boston area, we knew nothing about the housing market. Susie was very patient with us as we ruled out many homes and towns in our search. Even during the shutdown we still kept on our search, and Susie was very conscious of the guidelines when seeing homes during this time always wearing a mask, gloves, and looking at vacant homes to make us feel comfortable.
