Originally from Oakton, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., Karla began her career in hospitality after earning a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University and a Master’s in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management from the University of South Carolina. She spent nearly twenty years in the hospitality industry, including time at Kiawah Island Country Club, where exceptional service, attention to detail, and anticipating the needs of others formed the foundation of her work.

Before transitioning into real estate, Karla also partnered in her husband’s appraisal business, gaining a strong understanding of property valuation, investment strategy, and the financial considerations behind every real estate decision. Combined with her hospitality background, this perspective allows her to guide clients with both strategic insight and a thoughtful, service-oriented approach.
